Cook and Brown

Today, I went to Cook and Brown in Providence, RI. It is a small restaurant with a neighborhood feel but very sophisticated food and outstanding cocktails. I had the roasted Giannone farm chicken. It came with goat cheese fondue, beets, greens and frisee. My friend had the Narragansett creamery ricotta gnocchi. It had squash, mushrooms, arugula, shallots and pumpkin seeds in it. My friend also had an early morning cocktail. The cocktail was an interesting mixture of early grey-sage vodka, lemon and thyme. It was also a very pretty drink. They used locally sourced ingredients and always indicate what farm or dairy the products are from.
